Ms. Thurston will deliver the main lecture on the evening of November 7
and will lead a workshop on the morning of November 8.
Bonnie Thurston lives quietly near Wheeling, West Virginia, ordering her days according to a Rule of Life. She formerly held the William F. Orr Professorship in New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and was a founding member of the International Thomas Merton Society, serving as its third president. She has given retreats and lectured on Merton widely in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Europe, and written extensively on Merton’s opus.
